The Plan

We are heading to the South Lakes for our ‘Mountain Madness’ early May bank holiday weekend. We are looking forward to getting away for the weekend, enjoying the hills and each others company.

The Walking

The plan is to walk 3 of the local peaks in the South Lakes area, one each day. On Saturday we’ll meet up there at about 10.30am (exact timings will come with the final information).  The decision on which mounatin to do first is still to be made, but we defintley hope to do the Fairfield Horseshoe on Sunday.

Food!

We will provide all food from Saturday evening, until Monday packed lunch. We love food, and hope eveyone will enjoy it with us, but our facilities are limited so we may not be able to cater for very restricted diets.

Accomodation

We will be staying in Rydal Bunkhouse for the 2 nights.

Transport

This is not included, but we will try to help arrange a car share scheme. We will certainly be taking a large vehicle from Chalfont St Peter. We often get together the night before to make life easier with the early start.

Inclusive Price

The price includes food, accommodation, guidance on hills, happy company, we’ll even throw in a chance to help with the washing up. We can’t guarantee the weather but there will be good food and a warm welcome!
